Kris’s Weight Loss Story!
When did you become unhappy with your weight?
Right after I had my first son. I couldn’t do the basic things that I used to be able to do easily.
What made you decide to lose weight?
I was trying to get back down to a healthy weight so that I didn’t develop any heath problems. I could feel myself getting strained.
What were the most important changes you made to lose weight?
Working out was number 1. I started going to Curves. That 30 minute workout place. It was hard, but I did that for three months. Then I started my diet. Then I started working out harder at a local YMCA. Always changing it up in my routine so I wouldn’t plateau.
What was most challenging about losing weight?
Staying focused! I was on the diet, not my family. So I had to find ways to eat separately and find time away to work out.
How long did it take you to start to see results?
It took about two months before I noticed any change. And it wasn’t pounds or inches, it was how I felt.
How long did it take for you to reach your current weight?
A year and two months.
How long have you maintained your weight loss and how do you do it?
I’ve maintained it for almost three months now. I still have five pounds to go though. I just balance the amount of calories I take in to the amount of calories that I burn.
How has your life changed now that you’ve lost weight?
I have better sex now! It has made my husband and I very happy!

Weight loss tip #1:
Start small with your workouts and work your way up! A little goes a long way!

Kris’s Weight Loss Eating Plan!
Whole grain toast with a little reduced fat peanut butter on it with some kind of fruit, like kiwi.
A protein shake with a salad or a sandwich.
Anything I wanted as long as it was light on carbs and it was under 500 calories.
Snacks or Mini Meals:
Fruits or a fun size piece of chocolate to satisfy my craving.
Kris’s Weight Loss Workouts!
At least once a week of basic circuit training.
Four days a week for 30-40 minutes a day on either the treadmill or the elliptical machine. Or, I take a sculpting cardio class. I also take Yoga for flexibility (my husband likes that too).
